Roanna Bond and Kasia Senyszyn are two friends with a love of telling stories that intrigue, entertain and move. They started the Parrot Theatre Company after co-directing Mark Wilson's 'Talk', a play about the importance of telling your story. They are committed to making theatre about everyone and for everyone, reducing barriers to access, and supporting people at risk of isolation.

Joyfully discovering that their skill-set and attitudes to directing complemented one another, they continue to love learning from each other and their cast and crew, and to fuse their experience and passions to create new and interesting work.

For Roanna, a drama therapist and psychotherapist, theatre means telling bold stories and understanding character, individual experience and text. For Kasia, an accessibility expert and disability advocate, it is about being inclusive, open and creative with the overall aesthetic. Thankfully we can have both.

Together, we love to make high quality, thought-provoking theatre, and, with our combined experience within the mental health and accessibility arenas respectively, are particularly committed to breaking down barriers for people who are at risk of social isolation or exclusion.
