Artistic Director

Roanna studied at the University of East Anglia and then at Central School of Speech and Drama. She has toured the UK as a stand up comedian and been on and back stage for a number of productions. She is now a drama therapist and psychotherapist and is excited to be able to combine her two loves to form this company.

Writer

Sonia is a writer, psychogeographer and educator based in Kent, UK. Her published work includes fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and academic texts, many of which explore place, the nonhuman, aspects of the weird and experimental forms. Sonia writes and adapts for performance, runs workshops, appears at festivals and undertakes commissions. She is a co-founder of Folk Lore Kent and founder and curator of the Women Who Walk network for creatives and academics.

Musical Director

Greg is a musician, composer, songwriter and sound designer working across a number of genres and media. He has composed a number of theatrical scores with recent credits including Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead (Whitstable Playhouse), Hedda Gabler (Marlowe Theatre) and Richard III (Gulbenkian Theatre). He has a particular interest in working with English traditional music and works regularly as a performer and composer in this field touring the UK with several bands. He has released several albums with the band Green Diesel to critical acclaim and composed music featured in the Channel 4 drama series Southcliffe.

Designer

James is a theatre designer and puppeteer, experienced in outdoor performance and folk drama practices such as mumming and hoodening. He works to commission in set design, costume, prop, puppet, giant and mask making. He curates folklore-themed exhibitions and co-founded Folk Lore Kent. In 2023 he published Animal Guising and the Kentish Hooden Horse. He has taught Cultural Studies and Theatre Design at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has given public talks at The Bodleian Library, Folklore Library and Archive, Folklore Society, London Fortean Society, and the Sauniere Society.
